These baskets are made from a single blank of laminated hardwood. A pattern is glued to the blank. All of the parts are cut on a scroll saw in the shape that you see in the photos. No bending is involved. The pins for the handles are turned from wood that matches the vertical strips. Just about any combination of wood can be ordered. Send me an email with your wood choices and I'll do my best to acommodate your request.

The horizontal bands for these  baskets are cut on a scrollsaw from a single blank of wood. After cutting, alternate bands are rotated 180 degrees to create the spaces for the vertical strips. Each piece is sanded, and sanded, then sanded some more. A linseed oil/varnish finish is hand rubbed into the wood.

An heirloom quality basket for your own use or gift giving.
